Our main RPii Annual Inspector Rae Adams started her career working in local Authority as a Project Manager. This has meant that she has had years of experience taking a project from conception, through public and school consultation, practical installation to completion.
During her time with the council, she was asked to take on the management of 125 play areas that had somehow fallen through the system. And in a way – this is where the journey began.
What followed was 7 years of introducing policy and procedure, creating a qualified playground inspection team, a large number of refurbishments and new sites, the introduction of 106 strategies and gaining the accreditation of Rpii Annual Inspector herself.
Since then, Rae has worked with a number of local authorities and housing associations to develop their playground management structures, write policy, procedure and tender documents, consult with their clients and audit their facilities.
